News From Silver Moon Designs . . .

Happy Spring! 

I wish you all renewed hope and a lightness of being, as well as unexpected joy and contentment, good health, prosperity, and the clarity to see the lessons when things are difficult.

Spring is such a wonderful time for creative thinking - all the ideas and images and plans that have been swirling around in the darkness of winter are coming into the light.  Some will get planted and bear fruit, others discarded or put aside for now.  I'm not sure what is going to be created in the studio this Spring, but I'm looking forward to whatever it is....  At times like this I need to remember to stay out of the way (the thinking part of me) and let the feeling part of me just go.  I know it sounds weird but my best pieces have come out of this process.  And I can't force it, so I have to be careful not to get frustrated while I wait for it to come.

I continue to realize that this journey, creating these objects in silver, is something I must do.  It’s like food, water and air to me.  It nourishes my soul to make these things ….  and that it connects with you, feels like a completion of the circle.  Over the years I’ve heard from many of you how these pieces have accomplished a particular purpose; a special gift for someone special,  an object that holds a special and symbolic meaning for you to hold close.  It's not just about pretty things, its more about connection.  As I look at my work I see that just about every one of my pieces has meaning for me… symbolizing connection, creativity, healing, protection, balance, grounding..... and my hope, always, is that this comes across to you.

Anyway, as always I hope you know that I appreciate your support, feedback and connection.  I am slowly adding my new work to this site (not as handy with the computer tools as I am with the torch and hammer!)  I hope you enjoy them and please be in touch if you have any questions about the work, or classes.
